Our Beginning
In August 1990, we began as a full-service day care. By 2000, we felt the need to focus our attention toward children three to five years old, thus changing our name to Burns Day School. Our goal has always been to strive for excellence in providing quality care and education to the families it serves, as well as a warm and caring environment for those we employee. Each year that goes by, we continue to be humbled by the confidence parents place in us to partner with them in preparing their children for Kindergarten. We believe this to be true, not because of the number of stars we may or may not receive from the State of Tennesse, but because we believe each child is a gift from God and we will nuture that precious gift to the best of our ability.
Our current license allows us to enroll fifteen students - twelve preschool slots, plus three school-age slots. In order to maintain our commitment to quality education and supervision, our student to teacher ratio is 12:3 during academic instruction.
